Primary Adsorption Materials in Glovebox Purification Columns and Their Functions
Copper Catalyst:
Copper catalyst is one of the most commonly used adsorbents in glovebox purification columns. It functions through oxidation reactions to remove oxygen from the glovebox environment. Once the adsorption capacity is saturated, the catalyst can be regenerated through a reduction process to restore its adsorption efficiency.
Molecular Sieve:
Known for its uniform microporous structure and high surface area, the molecular sieve effectively adsorbs moisture in the glovebox through physical adsorption. When saturated, it can be regenerated by heating, which expels the adsorbed water and restores its moisture-adsorbing capacity.
